Wine 1.1.7 currently needs a patch compiled in so that it can render characters correctly. I had a better explanation up here but it keeps getting banned for unknown reasons so use the wine appdb (search for it) if you want to know. There is nothing illegal about compiling wine or playing a game on Linux and we’re not cheating or hacking here, sheesh.
Yes, my frame rate is dismal. I am waiting for my new video card to arrive and I wanted to see if it would even work with the crappy built-in graphics.
