My girlfriend sent me (I live in San Francisco, CA) a gift from Warsaw, Poland about 2.5 weeks ago. The gift as I found out contained a wine bottle and now we're thinking it may have been rejected since it was an alcoholic beverage. Can anyone answer this? Is sending alcohol to USA not possible? Do you have to be a certified something (importer)? Thanks guys. :)
It's not allowed according to u.s. custom laws
you can be sure someone is enjoying it though!

Warhammer Online on Linux - Rank 19 Bright Wizard Game Play

Rank 19 Bright Wizard blasting a few Level 22-24 night goblins and squigs on Warhammer, using the free GNU/Linux Fedora 10 beta OS (operating system). It is not Vista, not “Ubuntu” but similar, I guess, in the same way that I’m similar to Lego Batman…

Wine 1.1.7 currently needs a patch compiled in so that it can render characters correctly. I had a better explanation up here but it keeps getting banned for unknown reasons so use the wine appdb (search for it) if you want to know. There is nothing illegal about compiling wine or playing a game on Linux and we’re not cheating or hacking here, sheesh.

Yes, my frame rate is dismal. I am waiting for my new video card to arrive and I wanted to see if it would even work with the crappy built-in graphics.

Credits: Music track added: “Explode” by Automated Acoustics. Software: avidemux, gtk-recordMyDesktop, ffmpeg, linux fedora 10 and of course wine. Enjoy!

Is it tacky to serve 1.5 liter bottles of wine at party?

We are having a medium sized (50 or so guests) anniversary party. I wanted to save a bit of money on corkage fees so I thought of serving larger bottles of wine. Do you think this will look tacky vs. regular sized wine bottles?
Um… no. No twist caps.

If it is good wine and bottled in 1.5 liter bottles it was meant to be drank… in whatever atmosphere, climate, or setting you choose. I work at a high end restaurant and frankly it just makes more sense even thou I loose money because of it.

buy wine online from brittany?

I went on holiday a while ago to brittany and came home with some wine one of them was bought from Les Petites Caves in Malestroit, i'm desperaste to be able to buy this wine online its a cotes de bergerac white wine but it doesn't tell me which chateu it's from i've found cotes de bergerac wine online but not this one. Does anyone know of a website to order from the caves

Depending on the state you reside you may or may not be able to order wine on line. Secondly the wine may not travel well if you can buy it.Try Zachs Wine in New York (Yonkers or Westchester County) or Sherry Lehmans Wines (Madison Ave in the 60's in NYC) or one of the larger wine stores in your area. Try writing to the original store in France. Good Luck.

italian sweet red wines. I can't find it any where help.?

I was in germany a while back like 5yrs ago and i had a sweet italian red at a friends home i can't remember the name we would have it on girls night in. it was great by its self not to sweet now i can't find a sweet italian red to save my life any recommendations thanks. oh no Lambrusco that's not it.

Italians aren't really known for making "sweet" red wines.

The closest things I can think of are Banfi Rosa Regale. A lightly sparkling sweeter wine that pairs especially well with tomato based dishes.

Beaujolais Nouveau. I know that you said Italian, but a BN can be fruitier and 'sweeter'.
